The 2013 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Will Offer Elburn Drivers Tons of Power

The 2013 Camaro ZL1 Will Leave the Competition in the Dust
The brand new 2013 Chevy Camaro ZL1 convertible just made it’s world debut to the public last week at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show and was a crowd favorite, especially among gear heads and speedsters. Its supercharged 6.2L V8 engine will kick out a whopping 580 hp and 556 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than its closest rival, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible, which generates 550 hp. Geneva buyers will have their choice of either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This muscle car will also be fitted with GM's magnetic ride suspension with adjustable dampers all around, plus performance traction that’s also found on the Corvette ZR1. The 2013 Camaro ZL1 will offer Batavia drivers true drop-top pony car performance that will cost much less than other high-performance luxury cars like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
For the 2013 Camaro ZL1, Chevy will be making several improvements, including:
- Front X brace and rear V brace
- Transmission support reinforcement brace
- Tower-to-tower brace under the hood
- Underbody tunnel brace
Look for the new 2013 Chevy Camaro ZL1 to arrive at Illinois Chevy dealers at the end of 2012. That said, it will still be some time before Chevy releases pricing details.
